Back from vacation

Just wanted to let you know that I'm back from Florida. I haven't had a moment to work on any freebies but I am posting a few pictures that I took from our trip. I'll write more about our trip later.

We're heading to Florida and will be gone a while so I won't be posting as I won't have internet access but I wanted to post a couple of layouts that I made of my youngest.

More Sherbert Layouts

Lisa M. e-mailed me and sent me a double page layout that she made from the Sherbert kit. (Thanks, Lisa, for giving me permission to post these). I just had to show you these as well. I'm amazed at the creativity that I am seeing with all of these layouts! I love it! Oh, and if you want to see even more layouts with this kit, head over to Michele's blog as she has some too!

Over 10,000 Visitors!

Wow, thanks to all who have visited my blog. I started this blog less than 5 months ago and over 10,000 visitors from 80 countries have come to my little spot in Scrapland! Yah! Can you see me doing the "happy dance"? LOL! Seriously, I am very humbled to see so many visitors. On that note, I will leave you with a layout of my little gymnast using the Grand Canyon kit. Hello to my blog friends. I hope this finds you enjoying your day. I made two layouts of my little gymnast. She is practicing on the bars and I managed to catch her in mid-air (without it blurring) in one of the shots. She is only 10 years old but absolutely loves gymnastics.

Sunita layout

I am trying to actually make layouts from my kits (hey, what a concept to actually USE my own kits!) so I made a very simple layout using my new kit, Sunita. These are my 2 girls ... my gymnast on the left and my piano player on the right. I'll post the elements tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I'm so thankful for all of my scrappin friends who come to visit my blog. Today I'm having a quiet Thanksgiving with my family but I will be back tomorrow with the alpha to the Oregon kit. Until then, ponder on what you are thankful for. Blessings to you! ~Barbara

Venice Papers 1

I'm excited to share a new kit with you today. It's called the Venice kit and it has 5 parts to it. I've been watching to see which kit that I have offered so far is the most popular and it seems that a lot of you have enjoyed the Bear kit so this Venice kit is kind of similar. It has a lot of textured papers to it. I am giving you the 1st set of papers today but, truth be told, I am partial to the 2nd set of papers more but you'll have to come back for those! Oh, I did a couple of layouts of my daughters with this kit. I would love to hear from you! Enjoy!

Animal pics

Greetings and salutations! I hope you are not disappointed as there is no freebie for you. Today I am sharing some pictures that were taken last October when we went to San Diego to visit family and friends. These shots were taken at the Wild Animal Park using my Canon automatic digital camera. Since I don't know an aperture from an F stop I rely on an automatic. I do love Photoshop Elements recessed frame effect! The last photo of the okapi is a technique called "Out of Bounds" (OOB) which I learned from a great tutorial from Serrator. You can get his tutorial on how to do that here. The tutorial has a dinosaur on the front. I would consider him the master of OOB's. By the way, the okapi is my favorite animal. Can you guess what animal it is related to? No, not the zebra. It is actually related to the giraffe and is called the "rainforest giraffe". Just a little interesting trivia for you. Bear Preview

Thank you for all of the encouraging comments that I have been reading since I started this blog this past week. It really motivates me to design more freebies! Here is a layout that I did to preview the new kit that I will be sharing on Monday. I call it the Bear kit after my little gray cat, Bear. I hope you will come back on Monday to snag the papers.
