Jeweltone Alpha

I have a question for all of you out there in Scrapland. This is showing my ignorance but I really want to know the answer. What does "scrap for hire" mean? I see that on so many kits out there but do not know what it means. Can someone enlighten me?
Here's the final part to Jeweltone. I'm using another one of Deb's containers (The Scrappin' Cop) for the preview. I really like texture so this alpha is no exception. Again, you can't really see all the texture in this preview. You'll just have to download it.

Thank you for the neat alpha. I love the color. Also I downloaded the elements yesterday and I'm really jazzed with them. I loved the sequins and stones that you added. Thank you so much and leaving you some love.

First off THANK YOU for this awesome kit... the alpha is beautiful!!!!

Scrap for Hire (S4H) is when somebody hires you to create LOs, albums, etc for them. Generally S4H and S4O (scrap for others) kits can be used for that BUT read the TOU carefully... some designers are sticklers... especially if you're charging a fee. If the TOU isn't clear, the designer can always be asked. Hope that helps.

P.S. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I haven't updated it in AGES, LOL (as I'm sure you have seen). The holidays and visiting my parents 1000 miles away really got in the way of my scrapping, ROFL. Have a great day!

Cool color for the alpha!

I think someone answered your Scrap for Hire question. But we actually have someone on S2L that does that (not digital though). She actually makes scrapbooks for other people. They pay her to do their wedding album or baby book or whatever. Pretty cool for those "scrapping challenged" that would like to have their pics look nice!

Scrap for Hire means to take orders from people who do not digiscrap and create digiscrap papges for them. Some designers will add a little notation to their kits that say S4H OK - which means that as long as you flatten the image after scrapping a page, you can use the designs to scrap for pay. Othe designers do not allow you to do this. Flattening the final page keeps someone from snatching papers & elements for their own use, which is why designers who allow scrap for hire (S4H) usually ask that the scrapper flatten the images. But, really, if you print out the pages for a client, it really doesn't matter whether you flatten them or not. It would be necessary if you put them on disk for a client and saved them as a tiff or png file and give the disk to the client to print out. That could leave the elements and papers vulnerable to "priracy" by the client. Thanks for all the freebies you give. You are generous. i'm from Nebraska, btw
